Rubber, as the material of the buffer silencing cap, has many unique performance characteristics.
The elasticity of the rubber soundproof cap is very good, which enables it to effectively absorb impact energy during the buffering process. When subjected to external impact, rubber will deform, converting the impact energy into its own elastic potential energy, and then slowly releasing it, thus playing a role in buffering and silencing. For example, in some small mechanical buffering devices, rubber silencing caps can effectively reduce vibration and noise during equipment operation, providing a relatively quiet working environment for operators.
Rubber has excellent sound insulation properties, which can effectively block the propagation of sound. For mid to low frequency noise, the sound insulation effect of rubber silencing caps is particularly significant. This is because the molecular structure of rubber has strong sound absorption ability, which can convert sound waves into heat energy and consume it. Rubber silencing caps are widely used on equipment buffers in places with high requirements for noise control, such as hospitals and schools.
In addition, rubber silencing caps also have good wear resistance and corrosion resistance. It can resist a certain degree of friction and chemical erosion, is not easily aged or damaged, and has a long service life. At the same time, the cost of rubber soundproof caps is relatively low, and installation and replacement are also relatively convenient, which makes it cost-effective in many fields.
However, rubber silencing caps also have some limitations. Its high temperature resistance is poor, and it is prone to softening, deformation, and even loss of elasticity in high temperature environments, which affects the buffering and noise reduction effects. For example, in some high-temperature industrial furnaces, if rubber soundproof caps are used on the buffer of peripheral equipment, effective insulation measures need to be taken. In addition, the strength of rubber soundproof caps is relatively low, which may not meet the requirements for some situations with high impact forces.
